Donald R. Jones, 81, passed away July 19, 2013, at Lake Crossing Health Care in Appling, Ga.
A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Fred N. and Geraldine Neal Jones. He was a retired employee of Petra Consulting, of the Baptist faith, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a dedicated member of IPTAY for over thirty-five years.
He was a member of the Industrial Management Society and the Society for Advancement of Management and was also named in the Who’s Who in the South and South West.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Donna Jones of Augusta, GA,
Greg and Stephanie Jones of Greer, SC and Patrick Jones of Augusta, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Betty Jones of Augusta, GA; a sister, Janice Jones of Greer, SC; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Shawn Jones.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at The Wood Mortuary in Greer, S.C., conducted by Dr. Eddie Leopard. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the Wood Mortuary prior to the service.
The family will be at the home of Greg and Stephanie Jones, 128 N. Silver Beech Lane, Greer, SC 29651.
