James Allen Moore, 81, passed away on January 9, 2019 at his home.

A native of Greer, son of the late James Watkins and Marie Woodward Moore, he was a retired employee of JP Stevens Plant, served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and was a member of Greer Country Club for many years and Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Gwendolyn Burton Moore of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne M. and Rev. Ben Burrows of Cape Carteret, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg A. and Melissa Moore of Greer; five grandchildren, Burton, Luke and Grace Burrows, Matthew and Kyle Moore.
Mr. Moore was predeceased by one brother, Steve Moore and one grandson, Nathan Moore.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Memorial United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Cate.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with John McWilliams, Danny Woodward and Malcolm "Chico" Singleton.

Visitation will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

The family is at the home.
