Alvin Elmore "Buddy" Lawson, 84, passed away May 17, 2022.

A native of Laurens County, son of the late Algie and Beatrice Brewington Lawson, he was the retired owner and operator of Lawson?s Grading and Landscaping, formerly employed by Blackwell Brothers and Stewart, and Sonny Rhem Grading, Inc.

He was a member of Apalache Baptist Church for 60 years, where he served as a deacon and on the Building and Grounds Committee.

Surviving:

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Clara Belle Richards Lawson
of the home; one son, Rick Michael Lawson (Roni) of Palm Harbor,
Flaa, a brother, Carroll Lawson of Walterboro; and five grandchildren, Kevin Lawson (Kelly), Ian Lawson, Shaina Lawson, Aimee Lawson, and Rhiannon Lawson.

He was predeceased by one son, Alton Deryl Lawson and five sisters, Alice Knight, Altha Redding, Corene Weather, Helen Richards, and Sue
Mulligan.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Apalache Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brian Childers, Rev. Butch Howard, and Rev. Jerry Bryant.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Honorary escort will be the deacons of Apalache Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12 - 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home.
