Andrew Jefferson George, 87, of 3568 N. Highway 14, died August 2, 2014 and was reunited with his loving wife of 58 years, Sue Carol Wilson George, who passed away in 2011.

A native of Transylvania County, NC, son of the late Fielding E. and Onie B. Atkins George, a retired employee of Cryovac, a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving dad and grandpa that will be greatly missed.

Surviving:

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Linda George of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Chuck Russell of Greer; two sisters, JoAnn Hinson of Taylors and Evelyn George of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Joshua Hewitt, Jeff George, Erin Tilson, Alex, Stacey, Lindsey and Jay George, Audrey Arrowood and Christian Peoples and sixteen great-grandchildren, Daisy, Isacc and Anna Hewitt, Katelyn Graham, Tristan and Jayce Arrowood, Job and Jonah Peoples, Aria, Charlie, and George Tilson, and Maddie, Viv, Jackie, Adelaide and Everett George.

He was predeceased also by a brother, Ralph George; and a sister, Kathleen Nix.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Andy George. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 6 ? 8 p.m. Monday at the Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Alex and Jay George, Josh Hewitt, Job Peoples, Scott Arrowood and Gerald Tilson.
