Tamera Angeline Newell Somers, 75, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2016.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Angeline moved constantly as a child, finally settling in Spartanburg, SC; later moving to Greenville working for Guest Studio as office manager and photographer.

She was a daughter of the late William H. and Dorothy Hix Newell, a housewife, was of the Baptist faith, and served as hostess for First Baptist Church of Greer for many years.

Angeline was a friend to all and an avid tennis player.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, Robert Somers of the home; a son, Steven Somers (Amanda) of Greer; a daughter, Paige Osbon (Tim) of Charleston; two sisters, Sharon McMillan of Travelers Rest and Rebecca Baker (Frank) of Myrtle Beach; and two grandchildren, Keillor and Emerson Osbon.

We are a close family and she will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, officiating will be Dr. Wilson Nelson.

Interment will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Scott Bostwick, Mike Wade, David Dobson, Alan Moore, Tony Tipton and Ronald Taylor.

Friends will be received by the family from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
