Arzie Elizabeth Hoover Singleton, 91, of Greer, SC, died December 17, 2012 at North Greenville Hospital surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the widow of Grady "Dick" Singleton.

A native of Greer, SC, she was a daughter of the late Frank Hoover and Eliza Suttles Goforth, member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a retired employee of J. P. Stevens Victor Plant.

Surviving:

Surviving are four children, Malcom (Anne) Singleton, Doris (Phil) Crain, Martha (Ray) White and Jimmy (Debbie) Singleton all of Greer, and ten grandchildren, Craig (Jamie) Singleton, Chad (Angela) Singleton, April (Jay) Taylor, Amber (Doug) Barnette, Travis Crain, Matthew (Andrea) Crain, Knox (KC) White, Kale (Michelle) White, Jamie (Matt) Jordan all of Greer, and Lindsey Singleton and fianc� Ryan Robinson of Aiken, SC. 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and brother-in-law Dr. Stanley Jennings of Chesapeake, VA, and a special friend Lucy Williams.

Mrs. Singleton was predeceased by sisters, Goldie Hawkins, Alice Goss, Annie Bell Jennings, and brothers, Frank and Samuel Hoover.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. Dr. Drew Hines will conduct the services along with special music by Dr. Gary Rogers, Jay Taylor, and great-grandchildren and family comments from Martha White.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Greer.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary escorts will be Captain Kevin Henderson and his wife, Sherry, Lucy Williams, and Jane Morgan.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of her son, Malcom Singleton, 2041 Gap Creek Road, Greer, SC 29651.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, doctors and CNA's at Greer Memorial Hospital and North Greenville Hospital for their special care of our mother, and also the Greer Community Ministries Meals on Wheels Volunteers.
