Barbara Padgett Blanton, 79, passed away July 27, 2018 at Rosecrest.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was the wife of Robert L. Blanton and the daughter of the late Robert ?Lester" Padgett and Bernice Godfrey Padgett.

She was a graduate of Robinson's Business College and a former legal secretary for Perrin and Perrin, Attorneys at Law.

She was a member of Duncan First Baptist Church. At Duncan she served as a children?s Sunday school teacher for over 25 years.

She also served as Mission Friend?s Director and Children's Sunday School Director. Children were her passion. In addition, she was a member of the Masie Barefoot Sunday School Class.

Surviving:

Also surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Jack Biggers of Lyman and a son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Carla Blanton of Moore; four grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Blanton, and Emily and Sarah Biggers; her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Wyman Parris of Lyman; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Terry" and Sonya Padgett.

Funeral Services:

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Duncan First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

The family is at the home.
