Barbara Swertfager Heffron, 72, of 184 Plemmons Rd., died October 12, 2013 at her home.

A native of Cortland, New York, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Linda Niemi Swertfager, a retired operations manager of SunTrust Bank and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, Leo W. Heffron of the home; two daughters, Eileen Roberson of Central City, IA and Kathleen Power of Mount Holly, NC; a brother, Alfred H. Swertfager of Austin, TX and seven grandchildren, Charles Roberson, Jr., Jessica Rutherford, Katelyn Roberson, Rebecca Sullivan, and Heather, Ian and Henry Power.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Dr. Rick Ezell, Rev. Dave Dupree and Rev. Dan Ray.

Honorary escort will be Carol and Ted Frost and the Martha Ray Sunday School Class of Greer First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Friday at the mortuary prior to the service.
