Beverly Faye Owens Sloan, 84, widow of Robert Cleveland Sloan, passed away June 19, 2017.

A native of Spartanburg County and lifelong resident of the Holly Springs Community, she was a daughter of the late James Hulon and Frances Marian Clayton Owens.

Mrs. Sloan was a retired employee of Spartanburg County Schools and a lifelong member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a son, Timothy Sloan (Jeffrey) of Asheville, North Carolina; a daughter, Cindy Vanderford (Gene) of Landrum; two sisters, Jeannie Crisson and June Sloan both of Greer; two grandchildren, Jonathan Vanderford and Sarabeth Bennett; and three great-grandchildren, Sadie, Mack and Jonah Vanderford.

Mrs. Sloan was predeceased by a brother, Jackie Owens and one sister, Gail Rogers.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Henry Stanford.

Burial will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Honorary escort will be the Mary Harley Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 3:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home, 1275 Sloan Road, Inman, SC 29349.

The family is at the home.
