William Darrell "Bill" Thompson, 75, of 103 Mockingbird Lane, died September 23, 2015 at Magnolia Place.

A native of Catlin, IL, son of the late Chester Wayne and Lola Baird Thompson, he was retired from the US Postal Service, a US Army Veteran and a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Hazel Westmoreland Thompson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamra and Jean-Marie Toussaint of Roswell, GA and Angela and Josh Lambrecht of Denton, TX; one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Cyndi Thompson of Dallas, TX; one step-son, Ray Todd of Greer; one brother, Carroll Thompson of Hillsboro, TX; two sisters, Judy Bland of Dallas, TX and Janet Wright of Catlin, IL; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Combow Thompson and two sons, Eugene and Duane Thompson.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price.

Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Honorary escort will be the Ronnie Knight Sunday School class.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 p.m. Saturday at Washington Baptist Church.

The family is at the home.
