Blanche Robinson Covington, 103, of 400 Connecticut Avenue, widow of James D. Covington, died July 8, 2014 at McCall Hospice House.

A native of Slidell, Louisiana, daughter of the late William W. and Florence Gibson Robinson, she was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dolores and Fred Tucker of Greer; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald M. and Karen Covington of Mauldin, Ronnie and Ann Covington of Tampa, Florida, and Charles Covington of Olar; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, twenty-one great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Covington was predeceased by one son, James Ray Covington, a brother, Clarence Robinson and a sister, Pearl Jones.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Roger Greene. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
