Clarence Douglas "C.D." Smith, Jr., 72, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2015 at his home.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, son of Adelaide Silva Smith of Greensboro, North Carolina and the late Clarence Douglas Smith, Sr., he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam, a retired employee of Alabama Metals, a member of Eastland Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.

Surviving:

Also surviving are his wife, Sylvia Ann Williams Smith of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Janice Lara of River Falls and Darrell and Martha Lara of Taylors; three daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Mel Jones of Greenville, Penelope McIntyre of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Heather and Jay Wagner of Travelers Rest; two brothers, David Smith of Murrells Inlet and Jeff Smith of Cary, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family is at the home.
