Carolyn Lawrence Caldwell, passed into heaven on October 14, 2018.

Born January 5, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William Isom "Ike" and Helen Ruth Rodgers Lawrence.

She grew up in Lyman, South Carolina and was a member of the first graduating class of James F. Byrnes High School, where she was the first drum majorette of the marching band.

She was the widow of Frank Alvin "Al" Caldwell, the love of her life. Married on June 16, 1956, they enjoyed 54 years of love together. She was a loving mother and homemaker.

Carolyn was an active member of Washington Baptist Church. Special to her, were her "Byrnes Girls" with whom she had been friends since first grade. They gathered monthly for lunch, good times and shopping trips.

Surviving:

She is survived by her sons, William Frank Caldwell of Lyman and Michael B. Caldwell (Arline) of Sunset; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Donna Stone of Pickens.

Funeral Services:

A graveside service to celebrate Carolyn?s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 14050 E Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greer, SC 29651, conducted by Dr. Drew Hines, Rev. Joe Price and Rev. Donna Stroud.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in honor of Carolyn to: Washington Baptist Church, 3550 SC Hwy 14, Greer, SC 29651 or Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The families are at their respective homes.
