Carrie (Girley) Center Hughes, 95, of 1567 North Highway 101, widow of Tandy Willie (T.W.) Hughes, died August 28, 2013 at Alpha Health and Rehab.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late John Malcolm and Elizabeth Fisher Center, she was a Homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving is one son, Malcolm Decator Hughes (Opal) of Taylors; one daughter Mary Elizabeth Hughes Kimbrell of Greer; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hughes was predeceased one son, Clarence Hughes, one daughter Hazel Sudduth, six brothers, Mallie Center, Paul Center, Robert Center, Troy Center, Grayson Center and Carl Center, five sisters, Helen Killian, Katie Emory, Nellie Pruitt, Nora Lister and Martha Center and one grandson.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memory Gardens conducted by Rev. John Sullivan.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.
The families are at their respective homes.
