Carroll Guy Wood, 87, husband of Iva Rose Blackwell Wood, passed away at home on December 13, 2012.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Minnie Campbell Wood.

Mr. Wood retired as an overseer at Spring Mills of Lyman and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a former deacon.

Surviving:

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, Marshall Wood of Inman and one sister, Ruby Forrester of Charlotte, N.C.

Mr. Wood was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Terry Greene. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
