Cathryn Satterfield Hawkins, 98, widow of Fred Lee Hawkins, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Foothills of the Carolinas Hospice House, Landrum, SC surrounded by her family.

A native of Greer, born July 4, 1920 in Pelham, she was a daughter of the late Beattie and Jincy Jones Satterfield, a member of El Bethel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Greer Mill.

Surviving:

Surviving are daughters, Freda Barton (Bobby) and Sandra Blackwell (Tommy) all of Greer; one son-in-law, Bobby Waddell of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Hawkins-Dye of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Rob Waddell (Rhonda), Goob Waddell, Ondra Blackwell Hall (Todd), Kerry Gilstrap (Laurie) and Carroll Gilstrap (Michelle), Susan and Marty Hawkins and Lori Williams (Brad), Amanda Ellison O?Dell, Danielle Moore (Michael) and Cindy Miller; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Hall, Joshua Whaley, Jordan Hall, Nicole Folsum, Justin and Joseph Gilstrap, Elizabeth Ramey, Rustin and Rylan Waddell, Amya and Bree Ellison, Ella Moore, Brock Gilliam, Kip and Harley Miller; great-great-grandchildren, Luke Hall, Anslee Whaley and Elena Ramey and a sister, Ora Hutchins.

Mrs. Hawkins was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Waddell; a son, Tony Hawkins; grandchildren, Mark Waddell, Sheila Gilstrap, Sherry Gilstrap and Cathy Ramey and a brother, Otis Satterfield.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Joe Seay and Mr. Kerry Gilstrap.

Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:15 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

The family will be at the home of Freda Barton.
