Charles Otis Ponder, 85, passed away June 12, 2018.
A native of Greenville County, son of the late T. Herman and Theota Hempley Ponder, he was a retired employee of General Electric, a member of the Hejaz Shrine and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Frankie Johnson Ponder of the home; a son, Todd Ponder (Carmen) of Greer; a brother, Kent Ponder of Greer; two sisters, Mary Vickery and Sarah Tolbert, both of Greer; four grandchildren, Cami Shook (Austin), Kaden Ponder, Gracie Crawford and Gage Massey; and one great-grandchild, Remington Shook.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Drew Hines. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
