Charles Ray McCurley, 89, widower of Peggy Joan Bridges McCurley, passed away August 31, 2021.

A native of Anderson, son of the late Labe McCurley and Harley Seymore Shepherd, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of Roadway Express and a member of Faith Temple.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Mahaffey (Frederick) of Taylors and Lisa Welsh of Greer; two sons, Charles D. McCurley of Travelers Rest and Darin Kevin McCurley (Susan) of Simpsonville; five grandchildren, Miranda Gwinn (Lance) of Greer, Heather Warren (Wayne) of Fountain Inn, Brandon McCurley (Courtney) of Easley, John Joseph Welsh VI (Lois) of New York, and Camryn Alexis Welsh of Taylors; and six great-grandchildren, Lauren Welborn, Colin Warren, Addison Gwinn, Gavin Warren, Raegan McCurley, and Benjamin McCurley.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Wayne Warren.

Burial will follow in Faith Temple Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at their respective homes.
