Collon "Sonny" Kirkland, Jr., went home to be with the Lord January 19, 2021.

A native of Miami, Florida, son of the late Collon Kirkland, Sr. and Velma Musselwhite Kirkland, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, loved to hunt, fish, and be with family, watch Sci Fi Channel, Duke basketball and Clemson football.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Rhonda Davis Kirkland; two daughters, Tammy Lane (Tom) of Campobello and Amy Kirkland (Mariah) of Greer; three sons, David Burrell (Emma) of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Collon "Tre" Kirkland III (Layne) of Greer and Brian Kirkland (Teasha) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a brother, Jerry Stubbs of Florida; two sisters, Ludina Kirkland of Williamston and Voncille Miller of Greer; grandchildren, Joshua Kirkland (Abbey), Tristan Baldwin (Drake), Jordan Kirkland, Haley Burrell, Jadon Lane, Carter Kirkland, Anderson Kirkland, Matthew Zarate, Hunter Clayton, Kenzie Clayton, Rebecca Blackwelder and Mishayla Patterson; great-grandchildren, Keagen, Emery, Lilly Kate and Baby Libby.

Funeral Services:

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
