Cornelia Vassey Clayton, 93, widow of James "Jim" Lee Clayton, passed away November 9, 2017.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie Roddy Vassey, a retired employee of Homelite and member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Norma Clayton Page (Mark) of Inman and
Doris Clayton Minton (Wayne) of Taylors; two sons, Arnold Clayton (Jean) of Pauline and Tommy Clayton (Anita) of Greer; five grandchildren, Nicole Page, Michael Clayton, Meredith Clayton, Julie Mullinax and Chris Whitesides and ten great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Lisa Clayton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Tim Clark, Rev. Henry Stanford and Rev. Brad Vassey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim, Bruce and Michael Clayton, Ralph Depew, Ethan Whitesides, and Josh Mullinax.

Visitation will be held 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church following the service.

The family is at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Mark Page.
