David Richard McCoy, Sr., 86, widower of Frances Earline Farmer McCoy, passed away October 29, 2018.

A native of Greenville, son of the late J. Toy and Dolly Mae Quinn McCoy, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Apalache Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two sons, David Richard McCoy, Jr. (Debbie) and Bryan Wayne McCoy (Pam) all of Greer; one sister, Gail McCoy Walker of Greenville; three grandchildren, Ryan McCoy (Elizabeth), Carly Messer (Derek) and Ashley McCoy; and longtime girlfriend, Alice Duncan of Greer.

Mr. McCoy was predeceased by one sister, Peggy McCoy Lawson.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Butch Howard.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Honorary escort will be the Men?s Class II of Apalache Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at their respective homes.
