Dorothy Clayton Paulk Ryan, 87, died January 2, 2017 at Laurens County Memorial Hospital.

A native of Vidalia, Georgia, daughter of the late Robert Clayton and Gertrude Brown Paulk, she was a homemaker, a pastor?s wife and choir director.

Mrs. Ryan taught piano, was a teacher?s assistant for autistic children, a longtime member of Taylors First Baptist Church and a member of Laurens First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband, Rev. Roy Garlington Ryan, Jr. of the home; one son, R. Clayton Ryan of Asheville, NC; two daughters, Teresa R. Lasher (Mike) of Bahama, NC and Elizabeth Chapman (Doug) of Taylors; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Ryan was predeceased by one brother and one sister.

Funeral Services:

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Taylors First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley, Rev. Rickey Letson and Dr. Lawton Neely.

Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the Gathering Space of the church.
