Dr. Gary Ray Goetz at the age of 78, met his Savior face to face Saturday, January 16, 2021. We have peace knowing he is now rejoicing with his Savior and loved ones in heaven.

Gary was born April 3, 1942, to Ray and Beatrice Burg Goetz in Marshfield, WI; who both have preceded him to glory. He was the eldest of six.

He left behind five siblings and their spouses, Diane Krause (Fred) of Centerton, Ark.; Deborah Cattanach (Daniel) of Marshfield, Wisc; Thomas Goetz (Paulette) of Naples, Fla.; James Goetz (Sandy) of Wheaton, Ill.; and John Goetz (Susie) of Weston, Conn.

Surviving:

He is survived by his wife Peggy Stolba Goetz of 50 years, three children, and 8 grandchildren. Dwight Goetz (Anna) with Aubrey, Paul, Clara, Wesley, Harrison, and Oliver of New Hall, Calif.; Timothy Goetz (Stephanie) with daughter Reagan of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and Sara Dresch (Karl) with stepson Stephen of Calumet, Mich.

He was always learning and earned a Doctor of Pastoral Theology from Bob Jones Seminary in 2012. His first passion was biblical prophecy. His heart?s prayer was A Revival of Hope in the Genuine Christ-Real Hope for America in Crisis which was published in 2013.

His second passion was the Green Bay Packers and Clemson along with just plain football.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church 500 W Lee Road Taylors, S.C., 29687 conducted by Dr. John Monroe.

Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

The family respectfully request that social distancing guidelines be observed and face mask be worn.

Memorials may be made to his favorite ministry, Hidden Treasure Christian School 500 W Lee Road, Taylors, S.C. 29687.
