Helen Elizabeth Carlton Bentley, 85, widow of Lewis Edward Bentley, of 203 McElrath Road, died May 25, 2013 at her home.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Lula Owens Carlton, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, Greer Plant, and a member of Southside Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Surviving:

Surviving is a brother, Buddy Carlton of Reidville; a sister, Nivia Arnett of Johnson City, TN; a step-brother, Albert Boyter of Spartanburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Martin Atkins and Rev. Odell Mosley. Burial will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 2:45 p.m. Monday at the mortuary prior to the service.

Honorary escort will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
