Elizabeth Howell McElrath, 89, widow of Morris Manley McElrath, passed October 23, 2012 at Rolling Green Village.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Annie Howell Sudduth, she was a retired principal of Crestview Elementary School, past member of the Camellia Garden Club, Alpha Alpha Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma, the Greenville Women?s Club, a volunteer for Greenville Hospital System Allen Bennett Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, where she attended the Eula Mayfield Sunday School Class and a member of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann McElrath King and Linda Elizabeth McElrath both of Simpsonville; a son, Larry M. McElrath of Salem, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Bruce and Polly McElrath both of Greer; and three grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth King of Greenville, William A. King (Jill) of Easley and Benjamin M. McElrath of Clemson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial United Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Honorary escorts will be The Eula Mayfield Sunday School Class and retired teachers from Crestview Elementary School.
Visitation will be held after the service at the church.
