Hattie Evelyn Howell Frey, 99, widow of Samuel Emmett Frey, passed away November 1, 2020.

A native of Greer, daughter of the late Columbus Leo and Mary Alice Clement Howell, she was a retired employee of Cunningham-Waters Construction Co. and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Beth F. Smart of Spartanburg and Debbie Krotish of Lake Murray; one sister, Betty H. Brown of Asheville, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Ashley Smart, Lawren Honken, Michael Anderson and Sam Anderson; and one great-grandson, John Honken.

Mrs. Frey was predeceased by three brothers, Clement Howell, Carl Howell, Sr. and Bill Howell and two sisters, Marian H. Patat and Frances H. Ridgeway.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Mountain View Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Wilson Nelson.

The family respectfully requests that masks be worn at the service.
