Frances Louise Barnes Pittman Newton, 83, of 543 East Darby Road, widow of Tommy Newton died January 17, 2014. Her first husband was the late James Pittman.

A native of Anderson County, daughter of the late Frank and Evie Sanders Barnes, she was a retired employee of Steel Heddle and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Pat Bridwell (Tim) of Taylors and Sharon Rainey (Butch) of Easley; one son, Jimmy Pittman (Linda) of Taylors; one sister, Helen Cassell of Simpsonville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Terry Rainey and Rev. Phil Lord, Sr. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 2:00-3:30 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary.
The families are at their respective homes.
