Frances Jones Ashmore, 91, formerly of 3 Brook Street, widow of Leon Edward Ashmore, died August 16, 2013 at Magnolia Manor.
A native of Columbia, daughter of the late Dr. Oscar L. and Alma McNeil Jones, she was a graduate of Furman University formerly known as Greenville Womens College, a retired employee of T.C. Bearies and a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Joan Ashmore of Greer; a daughter, Cecilia Hall of Leicester, UK; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the home of her son, Rick Ashmore, 370 Bernice Snow Road, Greer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burnsview Baptist Church Building Fund, 9690 Reidville Road, Greer, SC 29651.
