Frances Whilden McCullough, 72, of 2632 North Hwy 14, died September 16, 2012 at her home following a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer over the last 16 years.

Born on March 9, 1940 she was a native of Greer and the daughter of the late Charlie H. and Florence Babb Whilden. She was a 1958 graduate of Taylors High School.

Mrs. McCullough was a retired employee of Liberty Life Insurance Company after 39 years of service, a charter member of Northwood Baptist Church, and also a charter member of Camp Sertoma Club of S.C.

Mrs. McCullough was a former member of PBX/Telecommunicators Club of Greenville-Pickens Counties, where she held numerous leadership positions on both state and local levels and received various awards for her dedicated service.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who showed unconditional love and support and will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank Dr. Larry Gluck and the staff at Cancer Centers of the Carolinas and numerous other caregivers.

Surviving:

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, William Earl (Billy) McCullough of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Connie Barton McCullough of Lyman and Tim and Sharon Styles McCullough of Greer and five grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Ryan, Andrew, and Sarah McCullough.

Mrs. McCullough was predeceased by a sister Freddie Mae Cox.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Northwood Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Joe Harvell, and Rev. Fred Brown. Private burial will be held at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tony McCullough, Tim McCullough, Jonathan McCullough, Matthew McCullough, Ryan McCullough, and Andrew McCullough.

Honorary escort will be Dever Lynn, Perry Cox, and Grady (Pap) McCullough.

Visitation was held after the service until 2:00 p.m.

The family is at the home.

Memorials may be made to Camp Sertoma of S.C. (Sprint for Splash Project), 602-5 College Ave, Clemson, S.C. 29631. Camp Sertoma provides a camp experience for speech and hearing impaired and under privileged children.
