Gary James Gillis, 69, of Greer, widower of Mary Jo Strasser Gillis, died May 11, 2014 at Pelham Medical Center.

A native of El Paso, TX, he was raised in Hialeah, FL, resident of Greer since 1983. He was a son of the late Edward George Gillis and a retired employee of Stevens Aviation.

Surviving:

Surviving are his mother, Shirley Kissinger Gillis; two daughters, Anne Marie Burgess and Tammy Raque; two sons, Joseph and John Gillis, all of Greer; a brother, Glenn Gillis of Nashville, TN; a sister, Casey Gillis of Indian Trail, NC; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby.
