Gertrude Mathis Wolfe, 94, formerly of Mountain View Road, died November 28, 2014 at the Inman Health Care.

A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie C. and Rosa Davis Mathis, a retired employee of Kerr Textiles, and a member of Locust Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Wolfe and Joyce Brendle both of Taylors; two sons, Raymond Wolfe of Greer and Sloan Jones of Greer; a sister, Mary M. Anderson of Travelers Rest; eleven grandchildren, Chris, Charlie , Timmy, Terry, Benny and Cindy Jones , Sherry Kohn, Missy J. Truesdale, Melanie Conner, Marti Watts and Jason Brendle and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by two sons, Otis Jones and Lloyd Jones; a brother, Vernon W. Mathis; a sister, Thelma Mathis and four grandchildren, Sloan Jones, Jr., Tracie Brendle, Doug S. Brendle II and Tim Jones.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Keith Mincey.

Burial will follow in Locust Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Sunday at the Wood Mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home of the daughter, Joyce Brendle, 5765 Mountain View Road, Taylors, SC 29687.
