Heyward Johnson, 94, formerly of Greer, widower of Alcie Mae Sanders Johnson, died December 2, 2015 at Greenville Place.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Walt and Emma Raines Johnson, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are two sons, Rev. Steve Johnson (Shand) of Proctorville, North Carolina and Keith Johnson (Ginger) of Greer and four grandchildren, Kinsley Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Daniel Johnson and Rebekah Johnson.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Steve Johnson and Rev. Stephen Talbert.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Chandler Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Bryon Gwinn, Kyle Brown, Phil Hannah and Sonny Jones.

Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.
