Homer Eugene Hinton, 78, widower of Charlotte Ford Hinton, passed away December 5, 2018.

A native of Greenville, son of the late Homer Woodrow and Clara Belle Duboise Hinton, he was a graduate of Furman University and earned his Master?s degree from Clemson University.

He served in the United States Army National Guard, was a retired principal for Greenville County School District and a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter, Charlyn Beth Johnson (Michael) of Simpsonville; a son, Jimmy Coxy (Tara) of Fountain. Inn; a sister, Mary Jo Hester (Anthony) of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Stephen Johnson, Calynn Morrison, Morgan Foster, Jesse, Justin, Julia and Jonathan Coxy; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Five Forks Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Howard Foster.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home.
