A native of Evansville, IN, son of the late Hugh and Maude Moody Morgan, he was a retired postal carrier with the USPS and a US Navy WWII Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Gayle Jenkins Morgan of the home; three daughters, Marsha Todkill (Jim) of Oakridge, TN, Betsy Clark (Dennis) of Oliver Springs, TN and Patsy McNeely of Oakridge, TN ; two sons, Chris Morgan (Traci) of Greer and Lee Morgan of Gilroy, CA and six grandchildren.
