James Arlen Stepp Sr., 84, of Greer, died Feb. 4, 2015 at Pelham Medical Center.

A native of Chick Springs Township, son of the late Everett and Ellen Flynn Stepp, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, having earned a Purple Heart. He was a member of V.F.W., a retired employee of F.W. Woolworth and a member of Praise Cathedral.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Willie Mae Bryant Stepp of the home; children, James Arlen Stepp Jr. of Greer, Kim VanDenBerg of Greer, Terry Stepp (Terra) of Pell City, Ala., and Joel Stepp (Debbie) of Cowpens; three brothers, Roger Stepp (Joan) of West Palm Beach, Fla., Zan Stepp (Glenora) of Kenansville, N.C, and Bruce Stepp (Linda) of Norman, Okla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
