James Michael Owens, 61, died October 23, 2016 at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Greer, he was the son of the late James Daniel and Mary Hazel Hawkins Owens, and was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Owens was a 1973 graduate of Greer High School, a former employee of J.P. Stevens, Taylors plant, and a current employee of Wal-Mart, Greer.

Surviving:

Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Neil Sondov of Greer; and a niece, Savannah Sondov of Greer.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family is at their home.
