James Ralph Clement, 72, of Greer, died peacefully at The Cottages at Brushy Creek on Friday, April 29, 2016 after a battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

He was the loving husband of the late Becky Dowling Clement.

He was the son of the late Warren and Myrtle Clement.

Ralph was a former employee of BellSouth and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

He was a kind man who loved fishing, Greer High athletics, and spending time with his grandsons.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters, Leigh Clement of the home and Blair Keeley and husband, Scott of Greer; three grandsons, Peyton, Landon and Garren Keeley; twelve sisters-in-law, Patricia Gibson, Shirley (Charles) Davis, Frances (Jim) Kelley, Linda (Jerry) Henderson, Bernadine Dowling, Terry Dowling, Adrienne (?Gar?) Garrett, Debbie (John) Howard, Kathryn Gebler, Theresa Dowling, Trina Kolenich, and Laurie (Keith) McBride; and three brothers-in-law, Tommy (Donna) Dowling, Jimmy (Carolyn) Dowling, and Frank (Laura) Dowling.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Charlene Dowling, three brothers-in-law, Larry Dowling, Tim Dowling, and Joe Gibson; a nephew, Patrick Carter Dowling, and a special neighbor and friend, Margie Howell Parker.

Funeral Services:

A celebration of life will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday at Memorial United Methodist Church conducted by Father Mike Schnatterly.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial United Methodist Church Social Hall.

The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff of The Cottages at Brushy Creek for their love and support during the past few months.
