James Thomas Timmons, 81, of 20 Hawthorne Park Court, died November 19, 2013 at Saint Francis Hospital.

A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late James Dillard and Ruby Lee Sullivan Timmons, a retired employee of Carotell Paperboard Co., a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Lynn Oswalt of Greer; a daughter-in-law, Denise Renee Timmons of Campobello; two sisters, Louise Hindman and Barbara Foster both of Greer; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by a daughter, Martha Diane Timmons; a son, James Lloyd Timmons; and three brothers, Bruce, Charles and Lewis Timmons.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Tim Wofford.

Burial will follow in Edgewood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:45 until 3:45 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home of Larry and Bertha Forrester, 201 Delano Ave., Greer, SC.
