James Harold Smith, 94, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at McCall Hospice House.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Andrew Clyde and Kate Cox Smith; a former employee of J.P. Stevens, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Lucille Jennings of the home; one daughter, Marci Jayne Sanders (Terry) of Nashville, Tennessee; three step-sons, James Michael Jennings (Kay), Myron Jennings (Janice) and Mitchell Jennings (Laura); one brother, El Roy Smith of Vancouver, Washington; two grandchildren, Dana and Jeremy; and one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Capri Simmons.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillie Bright Smith; a son, James Roger Smith; and two sisters, Ruth Phillips and Ruby Davis.

Funeral Services:

A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2016, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Carl Lancaster.

A private burial will be held.

Visitation will be held 2:30 p.m. ? 3:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, at the mortuary.
