Janie Smith Lancaster, 67, of 9305 Reidville Road, widow of Douglas Lancaster, died August 28, 2012 at her home.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of Mitchell and Earline Hawkins Smith of Ashlan Village, Lyman, she was a retired employee of America?s Auto Auction and a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Corey Lancaster of the home and David Lancaster (Julie) of Boiling Springs; a brother, Jerry Smith of Greer; a sister, Peggy Henson (Ralph) of Greer; three grandchildren, Emily, Hunter and Will Lancaster; a special niece and nephew, Amy Harvey and Brian Henson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Burnsview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby and Rev. Danny Garrett. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Waddell, Ken Howard, Rocky Howard, Travis Harrison, Max Gresham and Marty Campbell.
Visitation will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
