Kathleen Rollins Whitener, 92, of Spartanburg, widow of Charles Fred Whitener, Sr., died February 1, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late V.B. and Celia Suttles Rollins, a retired textile employee and a member of the Startex Church of God.

Surviving:

Surviving are three sons, Charles Fred "Freddie" Whitener, Jr. (Gail) of Duncan, Ben Whitener (Sandra) and Dr. David R. Whitener (Karen) all of Spartanburg; two daughters, Dorothy Seaburg of Roebuck and Marlene Culbreth (Jim) of Simpsonville; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ronald Smalley and Rev. Martin Foster. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Brian Whitener, Justin Whitener, David Whitener, Caleb Whitener, Lee Seaburg, and Tommy Eubanks.

Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
