Kathryn Smith Burns, 94, passed away January 9, 2021.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Virgil E. and Alcie Victoria Hollifield Cox. She was a retired Heart Monitor Tech for the Greenville Hospital System and was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving is her husband James Henry Burns of Simpsonville; two sons, Keith R. Smith (Donna) of Greer and K. Daryl Smith (Sara) of Gaffney; three daughters, Kerry L. Bonniville (Tony) of Decaturville, TN., K. Vicki McMakin (Sammie) of Simpsonville, and Kathy Louise Smith McGee (John) of Wesley Chapel, FL.; three step children, Benny Burns (Lynn), Sandra Wall (Larry), Danny Burns (Tammy); one brother, Talmadge Cox (Peggy) of Greer; 12 grandchildren, Adele Alducin (Paul), Adair Smith-Senn (Mike), Adawn Smith-Smith (Daryl), Kyndra Kemp, Vondra Mason, B. Todd Tibbs (Sally), Kimberly Wallis (David), W. Chad Wilson (Hannah), Arthur "Skip" Wilson, III (Kristin), John S. McGee, IV (Kathleen), C. Matthew McGee (Maureen) and D. Ross Smith (Sarah); twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Burns was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Green Smith; three brothers, Vernon Cox, George Cox and Alton Cox; one sister, Lillie Mae Black; and two step-children, Debbie Burns and Elaine Burns.

Funeral Services:

Family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly.

Burial to follow at Wood Memorial Park.
