Kathy Cantrell Edge, 59, went home to be with her heavenly Father on February 2, 2016 surrounded by her family.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of Jim and Geraldine "Geri" Thrift of Greer and the late Ercil Eugene Cantrell, she was an employee of Interglobal Forwarders of Greer.
Also surviving are her husband, Marcus Dale Edge of the home; two daughters, Lori Leonard (Kenny Edwards) of Spartanburg and Kelly Giles (Brent) of Taylors; a sister, Janice Huskins (Danny) of Hendersonville, North Carolina; step-sisters, Patty Thrift, Brenda Brown and Susan Nelson all of Woodruff; grandchildren, Brice Leonard, Maddy, Kenzie, Morgan and Bentley ?Bubba? Giles; and special friends, Steve and Lyn Dew of Taylors.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Vernon Thornhill. Burial will follow in Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary escort will be the employees of Interglobal Forwarders.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of her mother.
