Hughes Kenneth "Ken" Boswell, 86, husband of Louise Jones Boswell, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home.

A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Admiral Dewey and Vera Hughes Boswell; U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War; graduate of the University of South Carolina; retired insurance agent for B.A. Bennett and Greer Insurance Agency; member of the Greer Lions Club and member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, are a daughter, Karen Boswell Blakeney (Scott Alan) of Travelers Rest; a son, Boyce Boswell (Deborah Gosnell Boswell) of Inman, three grandchildren, Kenneth Bradford Blakeney, Andrew Boswell Blakeney and Sarah Katherine Blakeney and two great-grandchildren, Zoey Marie Blakeney and Eva Clark.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Doug Mize and Mrs. Dottie Bryson.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at the mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Williams, Paul Lister, Donald Guy, Tim Thorne and Butch Miller.
