Kenneth Forrester, 74, of 515 Barnett Road, died August 24, 2013 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Greenville, son of the late Roy and Bessie Turner Forrester, he was a retired employee of Jackson & Jackson Mills and a member of Fews Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mr. Forrester was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge #146, The Scottish Rite and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.

Surviving:

Surviving is his wife, Bernice Allen Forrester of the home; one son, Kenny Forrester of Greer; one daughter Brenda K. Young of Greer; three grandchildren, Justin Mathis, Brady Mathis and Kelly Forrester and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Forrester was predeceased by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Forrester and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fews Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Joseph Cole and Rev. Richard McAlister.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic rites.

Pallbearers will be Dan Cooke, Richard Lane, Justin Mathis, Buck Staton, Brady Mathis, Brent Blackwell, Travis Forrester and Trey Forrester.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary
The family is at the home of the son, Kenny Forrester, 330 Barnett Road, Greer, S.C. 29651.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fews Chapel United Methodist Church, 4000 North Highway 101, Greer, S.C. 29651 or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, S.C. 29356.
