Leona Bowers Hammett, 93, of 595 Hammett Store Road, widow of Sparty Hammett, died February 6, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
A native of Campobello, she was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Brooks Hammett of Spartanburg; one daughter, Joyce Skinner of Greenville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hammett was predeceased by two sons, Horace Hammett and Sparty Hammett, Jr., one daughter, Rachel Hammett, one brother Joe Bowers and one sister Clara Burnett.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church cemetery conducted by the Rev. Steve Durham and the Rev. Thomas Wade.
Visitation will be held 12-1:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary.
