Lois Elizabeth Donnan Hinds, 82, of 318 N. Suber Road, widow of Joseph James Hinds, Jr., died June 6, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Murphree Claude and Ernestine Hawkins Donnan, she was a graduate of Winthrop College, a retired music educator for School District 5, a piano teacher and a member of St. John's Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Hinds Joyner and Alice Hinds Witt (Darrell) all of Greer; a son, Joseph James Hinds III (Meg Allender) of Greer; two brothers, Yates Donnan of Aiken and Hugh Donnan of Opelika, Alabama; five grandchildren, Shelly Joyner Emery, Ashley Joyner Mitchell, Anna Hinds Watson, Erin Alice Witt and Jefferson Keith Witt; and one great-grandson, Ford Keith Emery.
Mrs. Hinds was predeceased by a son-in-law, Danny G. Joyner.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Baptist Church (Groveland Baptist Church), conducted by Rev. Dow Welsh. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The family is at the home.
