Lon C. Moody, 85, died December 25, 2014.

A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late L.F. and Josie Lee White Moody, a retired employee of Bell South, a member of Apalache Baptist Church,� and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

He was a member of the Bailey Masonic Lodge, Hejaz, and Hejaz Marching Patrol.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Christine H. Moody of the home; six daughters, Sheila Medford (Terry) of Greer, Sharon Alexander (Neal) of Lyman, Trudy Blackwell (Steve) of Greer, Judy Chapman (Tim) of Greer, Debbie Dillard (Chuck Richard) of Duncan and Judy Adams (Don) of Moore; three sisters, Frances Green of Powdersville, Iva Jo Elrod of Piedmont and Patricia McKinney of Greenville; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He also was predeceased by his first wife of fifty-four years, Dot Moody; a brother, Leon Moody; and two sisters, Connie Moody and Doris Boswell.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Apalache Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Eddie Cooper.

Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
