Louvenia "Lou" Plumley Pruitt, 81, widow of James Alvin Pruitt, passed away June 1, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Rufus Benjamin and Lula Emery Plumley, she was a retired employee of Oak Rubber Co. and a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy P. and Steve Duncan of Travelers Rest; two grandchildren, Steven J. Duncan and Michael Duncan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pruitt was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Highland Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Malcolm Lance and assisted by Rev. Dwayne Pruitt. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Steadman, Danny Burns, Darrell Burns, Curtis Eiss, Joey Cacioppo and Chris McCarter. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of Highland Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the mortuary.
