Malcolm Lee Hood, 88, widower of Jeanette Ford Hood, died September 5, 2013 at McCall Hospice House.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late James and Marie Fleming Hood, he was a retired employee of Winn Dixie, a U.S. Marine WWII Veteran, a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and a member of Taylors Masonic Lodge #345.

Surviving:

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanie Hood and Lew Saphar of Winston Salem, N.C. and Brenda Hood and Rick Medlock of Greer; one sister, Leora Lynn of Greer and two grandchildren, Kristine Medlock White and husband Matthew Alan and Alex Malcolm Saphar.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Eddie Leopard. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church cemetery.

Honorary escort will be Bill Dill Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Rick Medlock, 114 Mountain Valley Drive, Greer, S.C. 29651.
